The production line adopts one-step casting and laminating mode. TPU Multilayer Composite Fabric Extrusion Production Line
TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) multilayer composite fabric is widely used in waterproof breathable fabrics, medical protective clothing, sportswear, automotive interiors, inflatable products, etc. The production process involves co-extrusion of TPU film and lamination with substrates (such as textiles, non-woven fabric, PET film), ensuring the final product has waterproofing, breathability, abrasion resistance, and softness.
1. TPU Extrusion System (Melting & Forming)
Core Equipment:
Single-screw/twin-screw extruder (depending on formulation)
Automatic metering feeder (for TPU, additives, etc.)
Vacuum drying system (to prevent TPU moisture absorption)
Process Flow:
TPU raw materials (granules or powder) are dried to remove moisture and prevent bubbles during extrusion.
The material is fed into the extruder, where heat and shear forces melt the TPU.
A precision metering pump ensures stable melt flow for consistent extrusion quality.
2. Multilayer Co-Extrusion Die (TPU Film Formation)

Multilayer co-extrusion die (A/B/A or A/B/C structure)
Automatic thickness control system (APC)
Process Flow:
Single-layer film: Formed directly using a single extruder.
Multilayer co-extrusion: Two or more extruders are used to produce composite structures (e.g., abrasion-resistant layer + elastic layer + functional layer).
Film thickness control precision reaches ±0.01mm, ensuring uniform product quality.
3. Cast Cooling System (Film Cooling & Shaping) Core Equipment:
Cooling rollers (±1°C precision temperature control)
Corona treatment unit (enhancing adhesion to substrates)
Process Flow:
Melted TPU film is cast onto a cooling roller for rapid cooling, preventing deformation.
Water-cooling circulation ensures uniform thickness control.
Corona treatment improves adhesion between TPU film and textile substrates.
4. Lamination System (TPU Film & Fabric Bonding) Core Equipment:
Hot pressing laminator (±2°C temperature precision)
High-precision tension control system
Process Flow:
TPU film and fabric substrates (such as nylon, polyester, or non-woven fabric) enter the hot press laminator.
Heated rollers (typically 100-180°C) and pressure rollers (adjustable pressure) ensure strong bonding.
In-line pressure adjustment guarantees wrinkle-free and bubble-free lamination.
5. Cooling & Rewinding System
